Born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, Roberta graduated from Ohio’s Bowling Green State University in 1968 with a degree in education. After teaching physical education for five years, she was ready for a change and moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She spent 3 years learning dressmaking & fashion but this turned into a short career. Roberta was introduced to the world of Interior Design and found her true calling. She went back to school and subsequently enjoyed a successful career for 9 years as an Interior Designer in Florida. Her next step was starting her own business. In 1985 she open a showroom in south Florida’s Design Center,
importing furniture from Europe and selling to Designers from Florida, South America and the Caribbean. Eventually she began creating her own furniture designs to be manufactured in Italy. This business flourished with her active involvement for more than 15 years.

January 2000, Roberta sold the business, got married and for two years traveled in a motor home throughout United States and Canada with her husband Jack Jennings.

Roberta started to pursue her interest in painting in 2003 with classes in acrylic and oil and now specializes in landscapes in oil.

“Initially using photography to inspire my landscape painting; but since 2012 it has become my second passion. From May through October, Jack and I continue to travel around Canada and the US in our motor home. This provides endless inspiration for my two loves – painting and photography. Since the principles of a good painting or a good photograph are similar, this pairing was natural for me.”

When not traveling, Roberta resides with her husband in her home in Palm Desert, California and Pahrump, Nevada.
